Summer Essentials

Summer Essential Oil tips:

*Natural fruit wash-soak your berries in a bowl of water with your favorite essential oil for a few minutes (I love  to use doterra lemon and wild orange), then rinse & enjoy! 

*All natural bug spray-in a small spray bottle, add ¾ witch hazel, 10 drops lavender, 5 drops eucalyptus, 5 drops lemongrass, top off with distilled/purified water

*Sunburn remedy-Lavender is great for burns. Add a few drops to a spray bottle filled with distilled water and spritz on the skin, or add a few drops to a cool bath!

A Seasonal Approach to Yoga

We can also approach yoga the same way. Rather than practicing postures that build heat in the body, we can practice poses in the summer that are cooling such as moon salutations, twists, forward bends and sitali /sheetali breath.
